"...deliciously dark, superbly executed edge of your seat suspense. Death has never been so funny..."
We've all seen magic before. We have all heard the term comedy magician, but take your preconceptions and stuff them in your rabbit, cause these two will surprise you. I bet you have heard that before as well, but have you heard this...
Kiki and Pascal present big illusion magic, but their amazing tricks somehow end up secondary to the journey of these darkly funny characters. In the show they live like cat and mouse, continually outsmarting each other in a game where the stakes are death. Morbid maybe, but hysterically funny. With dark boxes, small spaces, knives and blades at every turn, it's a live action thriller.
Luckily it appears they can survive the most painful and serious of wounds, the nice thing about a clown world!
As enjoyable as comedy magic is, the thing that sets this show apart from the rest, is the consummate characterisation of Kiki and Pascal. The relationship between the two of them is first and foremost and the rest - although brilliant - is just the icing on the cake.
The show is delightful because you love these characters that are essentially very wrong. You fall in love with their sense of play, despite it's deadliness. Let's face it, it is not you that they want to kill, it is each other and all you have to do is take a side and believe me you will become a fan of one or the other, because if you don't....
"...two magicians that you definitely wouldn't want at your children's birthday party!"
"Beautiful magic, but then who really cares, these two are seriously funny and disturbingly dark, I loved it!"
